Walsh squeaks by determined Titans, 60-52

The Yarbrough-Keyes Titans fought tenaciously Friday night, but came away with a 60-52 loss to Walsh, Colo.

The Titans out rushed Walsh racking up 389 yards in 55 attempts with Walsh grabbing 281 yards in 38 tries.

But it was the pass that propelled Walsh to victory, adding another 118 yards of total offense.

The Titans had no completions or interceptions on five attempts.

Walsh, had seven completions from 21 attempts with two interceptions.

The Titans scored first with Collins busting over from one yard out, the try for two was no good.

The Maroon clad Titans came right back with Arreola ripping loose for a 15 yard scamper, again a try for two was no good but the Titans led 12-0.

Walsh went to the air with Murphy tossing a 12 yard pass to Cogburn for a touchdown, the try for one was no good.

Murphy went back to the air connecting to Dover on a 10 yard pass, the extra point was good and Walsh pulled into the lead 13-12.

Alverado broke loose for 18 yards and scored six, Collins two point try was good, the Titans led 20-13

Grazier came through for the Titans, barreling through for a three-yard TD run, and then tacked on two more, it was Titans 28-12.

In the second quarter, Collins went for a 38 yard scamper, and added two points, it was Titans 36, Walsh 13.

Walsh's Murphy came back for a 29 yard run, and tossed a pass to Cogburn for two, it was Titans 36, Walsh 20.

The Titans' Collins came back with a 13 yard run, and scampered for two more, 44-20

Walsh's Murphy went to the air again, connecting with Cogburn on a 40-yard pass, and a two-point conversion, 44-28, Titans led at the half.

In the third quarter, Walsh scored two unanswered touchdowns with two point conversions, and tied the game, 44-44

In the fourth quarter, Murphy called his own number and ripped off a 63 yard touchdown run, Salazar added two, it was Walsh 52, the Titans 44.

Grazier came back, rumbling in for the Titans last touchdown, from one yard out, Collins added two, it was 52-52.

But Walsh's Salazar put the icing on the Titans with a one-yard punch, Donner added two, for the win at 60-52.
