They're back!!!!! On 9-11-06, Ty Harper of the Oklahoma Wildlife Department Fisheries Division assisted by Cimarron County Game Warden Rusty Menefee delivered a load of fish to Lake Etling for the first time this year. Recent rains have brought the lake level up to approximately 8 feet in depth. 3700 Channel Catfish approximately 2.5 inches long and 17,500 Bluegill about 1 inch long were placed in the lake, (see inset). It is hoped that lake levels will remain up and the fish will have an opportunity to grow to a catchable size. Boise City News |
