OSBI investigation of caregiver continues by C.F. David The investigation into allegations that a caretaker in the Keyes Public School system became physical with, and cursed a 12-year-old student, is ongoing according to Jessica Brown, the Public Information Officer for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, (OSBI). Brown said that the OSBI had received a request for an investigation on the allegations that surfaced on the front page of The Boise City News in mid-April. At that time, according to Cimarron County Undersheriff Matt Langston the caretaker, whom Langston declined to name, had allegedly accosted and cursed a child, and the act had been witnessed by two other children. Langston then admitted that his investigation was bogged down because “...individuals were hesitant to cooperate.” Brown never volunteered if the OSBI was experiencing the same difficulties. “We have done several interviews,” she said of the OSBI investigation. Asked if the investigation had yielded any information, Brown replied, “None that I can share with you.” Asked if the OSBI's investigation was nearing completion, and would the agency's findings be turned over to the District Attorney's office, Brown said, “We will turn it over to them; perhaps in about a month.” Boise City News |
