Keyes City Clerk attends OML Institute Keyes City Clerk Linda Betts is one of over 140 city and town officials and employees who attended the Oklahoma Municipal League's Governing Officials Institute. The training institute was held June 16 & 17 in Oklahoma City. This year's institute provided an intensive, one and one-half day educational program which focused on leading municipal issues including, the Open Meeting Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Municipal Finance, and Ethics. Additionally, issues were discussed concerning Media Relations and Workers Comp. The Oklahoma Municipal League is a statewide, non-profit corporation whose membership is composed of 451 cities and towns. The League serves as a spokesperson for municipalities at state and federal government levels to achieve local objectives. Municipal officials work together through the League to formulate programs and unite in concerted action, which benefit their communities. Boise City News |
