Skelley Rodeo planned, set, for May 28

The Skelley Memorial Ranch Rodeo will be Sunday, May 28, 2 p.m. CDT at the Skelley Memorial Arena by the entrance to Black Mesa State Park .

Each team will honor a deceased rancher, whose brand will be worn on each competitor's shirt.

Events will include team penning, wild cow milking, branding, stampede race and steer mugging.

The winning team will receive belt buckles and a trophy.

Trophies will be presented to the team winning each event.

There will also be an open barrel race, and a junior barrel race for anyone wishing to enter. These events are not part of the team effort.

Lunch will be available, Admission is $5 per person with children under six admitted free.
