Four students from Boise City Elementary participated in the Special Olympics track meet in Guymon on Saturday, April 3. They were Trista Ogle, Jordan Ferguson, Justin Neatherlin and Jessie Jones.
Each student was placed in their respective age category. Trista zoomed down the track for 25 meters in the electric wheelchair race earning a First place ribbon.
Jordan threw the Softball for Third place and won First place in the 25 meter walk race.
Justin flew around the track for 200 meters winning second place and hurled the shot put for a First t place blue ribbon. He has been very diligent during P.E. class running to prepare for this event and other school track meets.
Jessie cruised to win Second place walking in the 25 meter race. Her constant throwing practice enabled her to take First place in the Softball throw.
We would like to thank the school for the pizza party at Mazzio's celebrating our victories and to the parents for attending and cheering us on.
