If this nation were a computer we would need a total reformat about now. It's got viruses that won't go away without it being done. So we have to throw out some good with the bad; but anything, to get our government to working right again.

Perhaps we need a peaceful revolution. Our ammunition will be ballots not bullets. First of all we shouldn't reelect any incumbents; even the ones we think of as being good.

Depending upon who you talk to, its all either the Republicans' or the Democrats' fault. I believe it is OUR fault. We elected every one of these people, and we've really messed up.

Secondly, we need to take a clue from business and downsize and eliminate when it comes to the bureaucrats.

We need to make our government accountable for their accounting. No more $300 toilet seats, 150% cost overruns on projects, or $60 million-dollar over-billings.

Alan Greenspan has asked for a cut in Social Security benefits to help offset budget deficits. I don't know about you, but I think making the older generation and the handicapped pay for a war in Iraq is wrong.

Third, we need a more unbiased press, informed voters, and more comprehensive studies of those who are elected. The government and the military call information intelligence. We the People need such intelligence about our government. What is it really doing? What are the men and women we elected really doing compared to what they lead us to believe they are doing.

Maybe we need a catchy slogan for our revolution. How about “Clean Sweep”?

I don't know, what do you think.
