County woman diagnosed with optic cancer

Melissa Ogles, 23, the daughter of Peggy and lane Sparkman and the late Rick Ogles has been recently diagnosed with an inoperable optic chaismglioma tumor. The tumor orginated in the brain and has attached to the optic nerve.

This type of illness is rare in adults and is usually seen in children.

Melissa, a single mother of a son Trenton, one-and-one-half, has been and will be traveling every day for seven weeks undergoing Radisteriotactic Radiotherapy, (radiation).

Upon the completion of this therapy she will undergo an MRI to determine is she will need chemotherapy.

Melissa is un-insured; a fund in her name has been established at the First State Bank of Boise City.
