Back to Basics

Since the early 1920's, our country has been on the processed food binge. We discovered if you add a bunch of chemicals and took out the nutrients from the natural food God created for our bodies it would have a longer shelf life. Insufficient nutrition in our foods has caused health problems such as obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, allergies, etc.
A simple step of staying away from processed flours and sugars would greatly increase your family's health. I found when I would “diet” and eat only vegetables, fruits, and meat my energy levels would go up and I didn't catch colds and flu. But when I would go off my “diet”, I was catching colds and flu like everyone else.
Our bodies also need fiber provided by grains, but not the wheat bleached kind. Breads and cereals made from freshly milled organic grains contain the nutrients our bodies need. Several ladies in this region (me included) are milling grain to make flour for use in the making of breads, pastries, etc. We have found a greater increase in family health.
