Cattle thefts investigated by C.F. David
The theft and sale of several head of young calves is currently under investigation by the Cimarron County Sheriff's Office, and officials in New Mexico and Texas . According to Cimarron County Sheriff Keith Borth, his office has been cooperating with New Mexico Brand Inspector Joel Gilbert, of Clayton, and Kenneth Chambers, an investigater for the Southwest Texas Cattleman's Association. At least 22 head of livestock have been found to have been stolen; but that number may go higher. Most if not all the stock was taken from the Bradley Ranch which borders Northwest Cimarron County and Baca County , Colorado . Borth will not name any suspects, since interviews are ongoing; but he said that charges are pending. Boise City News |
