Water. Even songs are written about water such as Pure Clear Water sung by the Sons of the Pioneers. Water and oxygen are the most important things our bodies need, but most of us substitute water for coffee, tea, and pop instead.
Water flushes our bodies of toxins and waste, but if our bodies don't receive enough water those toxin and waste build ups cause kidney and liver problems. Also constipation, headaches, muscle aches, and extreme fatigue are connected to lack of water. In his book, How to Deal With Back Pain, Dr. Batmangheledj, writes that back pain is due to an insufficient amount of water!
A good rule of thumb for the amount of water you need is to drink half your body weight in ounces of water every day. That means if you weigh 120 lbs., you should drink 60 ounces of water per day.
Purity of water is important, too. Watch for levels of fluoride and chlorine in your water supply. People with well water need to check for bacteria and nitrite levels. Fluoride and chlorine have been found lately to cause all kinds of problems. Especially for those who have been diagnosed with ADD.
