Murdoch squeezes by Maness, but runoff necessary
The Felt School District will have to dig up the money for an April 3, runoff for their number two schoolboard slot.
Challenger Casey Murdock pulled 41.25 percent of the vote, with 33 ballots compared to Incumbent Gary Maness' 37.50 percent and 30 ballots. The second challenger, David Hutchinson, was a distant third with 21.25 percent and 17 ballots.
Sparkman returns to Boise City Board
In the race for the number two spot on the Boise City school board, Incumbent Curt Sparkman handily defeated challanger Leon Apple capturing 77.66 percent of the votes with 153 ballots cast in comparison to Apple's 22.34 percent with 44 votes.
Taylor comes onto Keyes board
In the Keyes school district no election was needed since the open position was filed for by only one candidate, Larry Taylor.
Taylor will replace Debroah Cobb who chose not to file again.
