Milo plant to be annexed...
Boise City Public Works has filed a legal to annex the old Milo Plant just off Hart Street in the City's Southeast corner. John Ford, a grading contractor from Clayton , N.M. has leased the building and will make the facility his headquarters. The annexation was at Ford's request through the buildings governing board. Water and trash utilities are the crux of the issue. City Manager Rod Avery explains that as a county facility, no taxes are at issue except on possible sales of products. Ford added that his company is of a service nature and that there would be no sales of physical products. “I'm waiting for water,” Ford said. “I have some work for oil companies, and you (the county), are probably missing out on some things since you don't have a grading contractor.”
