Sanders: “Good turnout for Farm Show.”
Cimarron County Farm Show Chairman Craig Sanders was pleased with the attendance at last Tuesday's show.
“Overall I thought it was good, even though our exhibitors were down by two,” Sanders said.
“I think our exhibitors were pleased with the turnout. But I think it was unfortunate we didn't have any new exhibitors. But I just hope all the businesses represented this year will still be around next year,” he continued.
Sanders said what he thought was important was that the county's Ag businesses got a chance to meet potential customers and that the farmers and ranchers were able to see what products were available.
“Speaking for myself, I moved some merchandise and made some sales that I might not have made had I not been there. Also, by making these contacts, the customers know we are here and perhaps sometime during the year they'll bring their business into our stores,” Sanders emphasized. “It gives us, the merchants a chance to implement ideas to our customers.”
“We didn't run out of food and Bob Gayler did an excellent job as he does every year; and he does it at an extremely reasonable price to us,” Sanders said.
