Farm Service Agency (FSA) Emergency Loans Available

An amendment to Presidential Major Disaster Declaration M1675 (KS) was announced for several counties in Kansas as a result of a severe winter storm that occurred December 28-31, 2006 . The following counties in Oklahoma were named as contiguous disaster counties: Beaver, Cimarron , Harper and Texas Counties .

The declaration makes all family-sized farm operators in the affected counties eligible to be considered for low-interest emergency loans from the Farm Service Agency (FSA).

EM loan applications will be received from producers in the designated counties through close of business September 24, 2007 , for physical and production losses .

To be eligible for a loan, an applicant must have suffered losses as a direct result of the disaster.

An Administrator's Physical Loss Notification was announced for several counties in Colorado as a result of snowstorms/blizzards that occurred December 20-21, 2006 and December 28-31, 2006 . Cimarron County in Oklahoma was included in the disaster determination as a contiguous disaster county.

The declaration makes all family-sized farm operators in the affected counties eligible to be considered for low-interest emergency loans from the Farm Service Agency (FSA).
