Yarbrough-Keyes Titans take a 43-20 slashing from Goodwell's Eagles The Yarbrough-Keyes Titans ended their inaugural eight-man football season with a 43 to 20 loss to Goodwell.

The Titans drew first blood with a 34 yard run by Tanner Williams.


Brock Chance squeezed through from three yards out for an added two points and the Titans lead 8-0.

The Eagles big junior running back, Joseph Herrera, ran 22 yards for a TD the attempt for two failed, it was 8-6 Titans.

In the second quarter, Titan End, Ty Barby, went in from two yards out; quarterback Logan Grazier's pass to Ryan Coleman was no good, it was 14-6 Titans.

But then, the Eagles took control of the game and scored 36 points on five consecutive plays. A 70 yard run by Herrera on a kick return, Eagle quarterback, Derrick Grant passed to Raymond Bourne and it was 14-14.

Regaining possession of the ball Grant passed to James Guthrie for a 43-yard touchdown pass; Grant called his own number for a run for two and it was 22-14 at the end of three.

In the fourth, Grant went back to Guthrie for a four-yard pass, and the PAT was good, it was 30-14, Eagles.

Grant then connected with Bourne on a pass of six yards, the PAT was good, 37-14, Eagles

Grant connected with Guthrie to score the Eagles' last TD with a 19-yard pass; an attempt by Herrera for two failed, it was 43-14.

The Titans pushed the Eagles downfield, until Tanner Williams could punch through the Titans final TD of the season from three yards out; the try for two failed and it was 43-20 final.

The Eagles had 17 first downs to the Titans 12; 329 yards rushing to 221 for the Titans, and 126 yards through the air with the Titans connecting for 52 yards.

The Eagles racked up 455 total yards and the Titans 273.

The Titans had 13 pass attempts with five completions and one interception; the Eagles 15 attempts with six completions and two interceptions.

The Titans punted once and the Eagles never punted.

The Titans fumbled four times and lost one; the Eagles fumbled four times, losing two.

The Titans had four penalties for 30 yards, and the Eagles, six for 53.
